WHERE TO JUMP · HIGH-ALTITUDE SKYDIVES
Above about fifteen thousand feet the aircraft carries oxygen and the freefall stretches past a minute and a half. These 15 are the highest exits you can book as a tandem passenger, with what the extra altitude adds to the bill.
At Alvor Airfield near Portimão, you’ll receive a short safety briefing, gear up with an expert tandem instructor, and make a 15,000-foot parachute jump. Expect up to a minute of freefall at about 135 mph, followed by a parachute descent and a souvenir certificate. Photos, video, and hotel transfers cost extra.

Take a tandem skydive from 18,000ft above New Zealand’s Bay of Islands, the highest jump in the North Island.
